The Northwest Women's Music Celebration was founded in 1983 by Janet Peterson, and is currently hosted by the four women of the band Motherlode, along with coordinators Ellen Wolfson, Linda Vogt and Rene’ Zingarelli. Motherlode met at the Puget Sound Guitar Workshop in 1980 and have been making music together for over 30 years.
